In this article, we guide you through enabling the sale of gift cards online.
With the new integrated gift card feature, a unique six-digit code is automatically delivered by email to either the purchaser or the designated recipient of the gift card.
All online gift card purchases will be processed through your existing Heartland POS account.
Activating Online Gift Card Sales:
1. From the Admin Portal, select Booking Site Admin.
2. Log in to your Booking Site Admin account and select the Properties section.
3. Scroll to the Gift Cards section at the bottom of the page and switch on the Offer Gift Cards Online option.
4. Enable the Gift Card component to be visible on your Booking Page and the Checkout page during a tee time booking.

Create the Component that shows on your Booking Page and Checkout Page: (Images Above)
1. Select from 3 template options
2. Check the Show Image to upload your own gift card image
3. Enter the Headline, Subheadline, Description, and CTA (Button Title)
Example Setup:
- Headline: Give the Gift of Golf
- Subheadline: Perfect for Every Golfer, Every Occasion
- Description: Easy to send and even better to receive! Our gift cards can be used for tee times, lessons, or gear—everything a golfer needs.
- CTA: Shop Gift Cards
How to Set Up Gift Cards with Predefined Values:
1. Select Add Gift Card. Enter the required details, then click Save Gift Card when you’re done.
- How Discount works: To apply a discount to this gift card, enter the desired discount amount. This will reduce the purchase price at checkout, while the recipient will receive the full original value of the gift card. (Ex. Gift Card Value 100, a discount of $15 = Customer pays $85 for the $100 gift card)
2. Select Add Gift Card to create another predefined gift card value.
How to Set Up a Custom Value Gift Card:
1. Switch on the Custom Value Gift Card option. Enter the required details, then click Save Gift Card when you’re done.
Gift Cards Online:
Once online gift card sales are enabled, a dedicated Gift Card section will appear on your booking site. Here, customers can easily browse and purchase active gift cards available for sale.
Send This is a Gift for Someone Else:
1. Select Show Details and select "this is a gift for someone else".
2. Enter the recipient’s information, write a personalized message, and even schedule when you’d like the gift card email to be delivered.
Gift Card Reports:
A new tab within the Gift Card reporting workbook will provide a comprehensive view of all online gift card sales.
