STAR Bluetooth Printer Troubleshooting Guide

This article will walk you through the steps to troubleshoot a STAR Bluetooth Printer

This troubleshooting guide focuses solely on connection issues. If your printer has flashing error lights, please contact STAR Micronics directly at (848) 216-3304.

Important! The STAR Bluetooth Printer has an expected lifespan of 3-5 years. If your device is older than five years, we recommend upgrading to a Citizen Printer. The Citizen Printer offers a longer lifespan and superior performance in terms of connectivity, reliability, and durability compared to the STAR.

1.2. Hold the Feed button and turn the Printer back on (keep holding the feed button until the printer makes a noise). Two receipts will be printed, the second one will show the Auto-Connect setting as "Off" or "On."

1.3 If the setting is "Off" Repeat steps 1-6. If the setting is on, you'll need to reset the Printer.

1.4 Grab a pen/pencil/golf tee and locate the Reset button on the back of the Printer. Press the reset button until the printer makes a noise. The Auto-Connection settings should be printed and showing as "Off"

1.5 If the setting shows as "Off" repeat steps 1-6. If the setting shows as "On" repeat step 1.4 until the setting shows as "Off."

If all these steps fail, the printer is likely faulty. Contact STAR Micronics directly at (848) 216-3304.
